Are you in the mood for something sweet and healthy? Time to try milk kefir ice cream! It’s healthy, delicious, and easy to make.
First, let me tell you what milk kefir is. It’s a fermented milk drink that’s made by adding kefir grains to milk. The grains are a combination of bacteria and yeast that ferment the lactose in milk, producing a tangy and slightly fizzy drink that’s rich in probiotics and nutrients. It’s like yogurt, but even better for you!
To make milk kefir ice cream, you’ll need just a few simple ingredients: homemade organic milk kefir (for living nutrients!), organic heavy cream, your choice of sweetener (organic liquid stevia, honey, or sugar), and some organic vanilla extract. I Like to add a teaspoon or two of Camu Camu powder for a tangy sweet taste and a pretty pink color! (And all its Vitamin C!)
Here’s how you make it:
Combine all the ingredients in a blender until the preferred consistency is reached.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Freeze the ice cream for at least 2 hours, or until it reaches your desired consistency.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, don’t worry! You can still make this recipe by pouring the mixture into a freezer-safe container and stirring it every 30 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
Why make your own milk kefir ice cream? Well, for starters, you get to use healthier ingredients. By using organic milk kefir, heavy cream, and alternative sweeteners like stevia or honey, you can avoid the added sugars and artificial flavors that are often found in store-bought ice cream. Plus, you get all the health benefits of milk kefir, including probiotics, vitamins, and minerals.
Making your own ice cream is also a fun and creative activity that you can share with family and friends. You can experiment with different flavors and toppings to create your own signature ice cream.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to give milk kefir ice cream a try? I hope you do, and enjoy it as much as I do!
